The demonstration took place at the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas last month.

This live streaming demonstration showed for the first time that video streams can be delivered seamlessly from terrestrial-to-satellite networks with performance monitoring. Using Akamai's FreeFlowSM Streaming service, the 1 Megabit/second streams were delivered with unmatched quality and reliability across Akamai's globally distributed network and displayed in Akamai's booth at the show.

CyberStar played a crucial role in the demonstration by providing the satellite-based IP multicast service that transported the streams. CyberStar's global IP multicast network uses the latest Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode See ATM.
