International Datacasting Provides Radio Television Unida in Ecuador with DVB/IP Radio Network.

:IDC) announced today that its customer Radio y Television Unida (RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) A device that collects data from data acquisition equipment and sends them to the main system over a wired or wireless network. See SCADA. ) in Ecuador has launched a new radio network using IDC's SuperFlex satellite datacasting system. Last year IDC provided RTU with its initial MPEG (Moving Pictures Experts Group) An ISO/ITU standard for compressing digital video. Pronounced "em-peg," it is the universal standard for digital terrestrial, cable and satellite TV, DVDs and digital video recorders (DVRs). 4 television network-one of the first networks of its kind. The RTU network reaches cities across the country-even a remote station in the Galapagos Islands!

Initially, IDC's DVB/IP SuperFlex broadband multimedia datacasting system was selected to provide a low-cost, highly flexible infrastructure for this new TV network.
