The new features include:

- Extremely high-speed data throughput: optimal performance greater
  than 50 Mb/s.
- Increased to 16 simultaneous PIDs out the Ethernet port, with an
additional 11 PIDS for customized options and legacy services.
- Dual PCMCIA format Common Interface (CI) modules supporting
  multiple Conditional Access (CAS) systems.
- Improved Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support for
MIB-II operation in addition to IDC's registered enterprise MIB.
SNMP is a set of protocols for managing complex networks.
- Improved Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) support -
IGMP is used to initiate, monitor and terminate (prune) multicast
transmissions automatically in response to client requests for
  service.
- New terminal mode support to permit installers to connect their
  PCs/laptops via COM port.
- New monitoring capabilities using a Multi Router Traffic Grapher
(MRTG). MRTG is used for monitoring IP traffic on the SuperFlex
  family of satellite receivers.
- Improved Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) network
integration - DHCP is a communications protocol that allows Network
Administrators to centrally manage and automate the assignment of

We are pleased to be shipping this latest generation of the product, which we believe is the best receiver available on the market today. Throughput performance and functionality for Internet protocol applications are second to none, keeping us in the forefront of the industry and giving us a great return for our Research and Development investments."

Gary Carter, VP Sales and Business Development at IDC, stated, "This latest release builds on our September release of the SR2001B, allowing us not only to fill a full satellite transponder A receiver/transmitter on a communications satellite. It receives a microwave signal from earth (uplink), amplifies it and retransmits it back to earth at a different frequency (downlink). A satellite has several transponders.  to capacity with data, but output that data at rates exceeding 50 Mb/s. Combined with the other new and existing features and functionality, our customers, such as ISPs moving content to the edge of the Internet, streaming media service providers, large corporations, distance educators and content distribution networks (CDN (Content Delivery Network) A system of distributed content on a large intranet or the public Internet in which copies of content are replicated and cached throughout the network. ), have access to the most stable, expandable, and functional broadband satellite datacasting system."

IDC's award-winning SuperFlex is a digital satellite networking system designed to distribute broadband multimedia content (i.e. Internet services, multimedia data, streaming media) by satellite in point-to-multipoint applications. The system incorporates advanced technology using Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB), Internet Protocol (IP) and MPEG (Moving Pictures Experts Group) An ISO/ITU standard for compressing digital video.
