International Datacasting Corp Wins $4 Million Contract Renewal to Provide Datacasting Services to Canadian Forces Overseas.

:IDC) announced today the renewal of IDC's contract with the Canadian Government to provide multimedia datacasting services for the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency The Canadian Forces Personnel Suppoprt Agency (CFSPA) is responsible for administering non-public property on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff and delivering selected public morale and welfare programs, services, and activities.  (CFPSA CFPSA Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (Canada) ).IDC provides infrastructure and service for the Canadian Force Radio & Television (CFRT CFRT Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic ) service which delivers news, sports, entertainment, and special events programming to Canadian Forces stationed around the world in ongoing and emerging international operations Internal Operations (I.O., IO or I/O) is a fictional American Intelligence Agency in Wildstorm comics. It was originally called International Operations. I.O. first appeared in WildC.A.T.S. volume 1 #1 (August, 1992) and was created by Brandon Choi and Jim Lee. .

This contract is valued at approximately $4 million per year. IDC has operated this service for CFPSA since 1999.

The CFRT service-which is broadcast in real-time from IDC's Ottawa teleport-includes one channel of video in English, one in French and several home-town radio stations. The system operates on IDC's SuperFlex DVB-IP technology, which enables the seamless integration An addition of a new application, routine or device that works smoothly with the existing system.
