International College Announces Mangrove Madness -- Florida's Newest Inshore Fishing Tournament.


NAPLES, Fla. -- Fun, Fishing and Fundraising combine to provide a great family experience in Southwest Florida's newest fishing tournament -- "Mangrove mangrove, large tropical evergreen tree, genus Rhizophora, that grows on muddy tidal flats and along protected ocean shorelines. Mangroves are most abundant in tropical Asia, Africa, and the islands of the SW Pacific.  Madness".

This event will take place on August 11 & 12, 2006 where anglers will compete for over $15,000 in cash and prizes. The purpose is to extend the International College message of "Growing Minds...Transforming Lives" and to provide that message to outdoor enthusiasts, friends and benefactors in a less traditional format and venue. Anglers will be thrilled to experience a fishing tournament that welcomes families and high level competitors as well. The tournament will target snook snook: see bass, fish.

Registration opens at 2:00 PM at Parrot Key Caribbean Grill near Fort Myers Beach, Florida Fort Myers Beach is a town located on Estero Island in Lee County, Florida. The population was 6,561 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 6,780 [1]. . All participants will receive limited edition fishing shirts, custom long sleeved Tee shirts, tournament hats and other items packed into a one of a kind tournament wet/dry bag. There will be a Captain's Party and Rules Meeting beginning at 7:30 PM on Friday evening which will include a great dinner and open bar. Fishing takes place on Saturday with check-in at Punta Rassa beginning at 6:00 AM. Anglers can place their lines in the water at 7:30 AM; and must have their lines out of the water by 4:00 PM. There will be a weigh station A weigh station is a checkpoint along a highway to inspect vehicular weights. Usually, trucks and commercial vehicles are subject to the inspection. Overview
Weigh stations are equipped with scales, some of which permit the trucks to continue moving while being weighed,
 at the Sanibel Causeway opening at 9:00 AM. All competitors must be back to the scoring area to score their fish no later than 5:00 PM. The Awards Banquet will begin on Saturday evening, at 7:30 PM where everyone will be treated to fantastic food and another open bar; again at Parrot Key Caribbean Grill in Salty Sam's Marina near Fort Myers Beach. In addition to the $15,000 purse, the top three teams will receive one-of-a-kind trophies. "Mangrove Madness" is an IGFA/Rolex Inshore in·shore
