International Clarinet Competition in Paris. (Competitions).


The International Clarinet Competition will take place March 10-11, 2003, in Ville d'Avray, Paris, and is open to clarinetists of any nationality nationality, in political theory, the quality of belonging to a nation, in the sense of a group united by various strong ties. Among the usual ties are membership in the same general community, common customs, culture, tradition, history, and language.  and age. The first-place winner will receive 1,500 [euro], with second- and third-place winners receiving 800 [euro] and 500 [euro], respectively.

The first-round repertoire must include a concerto concerto (kənchâr`tō), musical composition usually for an orchestra and a soloist or a group of soloists. In the 16th cent. concertare and concertato implied an ensemble, either vocal or instrumental.  composed by either Weber, Mozart or Spohr (first movement), a Debussy Rhapsodie (Edition Durand) and Jean-Louis Petit's Soufflee III (Edition). For the final round, contestants may choose a piece composed by either J. F. Devienne or J. B. Breval; C. M. Widor's Introduction et Rondeau rondeau

One of several formes fixes (fixed forms) in French lyric poetry and song of the 14th–15th century, later popular with many English poets. The rondeau has only two rhymes (allowing no repetition of rhyme words) and consists of 13 or 15 lines of 8 or 10
