Hydra is a for-profit organization, providing a comprehensive range of community based programs and services to support people of all ages living with a disability. In an earlier report, the Auditor General had cited weaknesses in the Department of Family Services & Housing's (the Department) financial monitoring of external service providers. During the course of the departmental review the Auditor General became aware of allegations of questionable spending at Hydra, and he proceeded to investigate.
