The Intergraph Research Grant Program will award $5,000 (U.S.) funding and a $50,000 software donation in recognition of an outstanding and innovative applied research proposal submitted by an AGILE member. This program reaffirms the organization's continued commitment to progressing the implementation and advancement of geographic information science. The grant recipient will be announced at AGILE's eighth annual Conference on GIScience, May 26-28, 2005, in Estoril, Portugal. The conference provides a forum for all AGILE members to network and exchange ideas and experiences on a European level as well as to initiate and stimulate the formation of working groups on specific subjects of special interest within the geographic information science community. All AGILE members are encouraged to submit a research proposal to education@intergraph.com no later than April 25, 2005, to be eligible for consideration.
