file storage to guarantee file synchronization File synchronization (or 'synching') in computing is the process of making sure that two or more locations contain the same up-to-date files. If you add, change, or delete a file from one location, the synchronization process will add, change, or delete the same file at the other  throughout the enterprise.

The new product's Fibre Channel backbone delivers performance improvements over traditional SCSI-based storage interfaces and offers expanded cable length to ensure proximity to data-even when storage is physically located at great distances. With the product, creative and technical professionals working with files such as graphics, digital video, or large-scale terrain databases will experience increases in productivity and efficiency. At the same time, organizations will be able to leverage their existing investments in servers, workstations, and PCs by eliminating server 110 and networking bottlenecks that compromise the performance potential of their systems. It is available immediately through the company's authorized resellers, starting under $12,000.
