Intergraph Public Safety Selected by Westmoreland County; Advanced Technology to Manage Emergencies.

Intergraph Public Safety (IPS)(NASDAQ:INGR) has been selected by Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, to provide a multi-agency computer aided dispatch (CAD) system for law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services (EMS). The contract award is valued at $1.7 million.
Covering more than 1,068 square miles and serving approximately 375,000 people, Westmoreland County receives more than 275,000 calls for service a year. The new CAD system will support 117 fire departments, 36 law enforcement agencies, 30 EMS units, emergency management for 65 municipalities, HAZMAT response, county detective, county coroner, children's bureau, county park police, and county sheriff.
