Lee College Fieldbus Center to Add INtools Software to Curriculum

S.), will be used primarily in the Lee College Fieldbus Center (www.knowthebus.org). The center provides the technical education that students need for successfully mastering instrumentation, electrical and plant control technologies affected by the continuing growth of fieldbus networks. Lee College has an enrollment of more than 6,000 students and was founded in 1934.

"Based on the generous grant from Intergraph, INtools, which includes a well-designed support system, will soon be added to the Lee College curriculum. With support from companies such as Intergraph, institutions including Lee College and initiatives like the Fieldbus Center will remain well positioned to help the industries they serve," said Chuck Carter, director, Lee College Center for Digital and Fieldbus Technological Education.

Grants Bring Advanced Technology to Classroom

Grant recipients are eligible to receive INtools, SmartPlant(R) P&ID, SmartPlant Electrical and SmartSketch(R) software and maintenance; instructor training; technical installation assistance; and one complimentary registration for the Intergraph Process, Power & Offshore APEX Summit industry conference. Intergraph and the FIATECH industry consortium are working together to promote the educational grants by pooling resources to offer the program to a broad range of educational institutions.
