geospatial solutions for transportation customers. Attendees can experience the company's latest transportation-focused solutions by seeing these key demonstrations:
-- 3M is demonstrating its Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS), a
comprehensive transportation safety asset management system that inventories
and manages the maintenance and replacement of traffic signs, pavement
markings, and other transportation infrastructure components throughout their
life cycles. Because GeoMedia WebMap supports various GIS data formats, it
allows TAMS to integrate disparate GIS data sources without translation.

-- Hansen will show its Hansen Roadway Inventory Model that maintains all
roadway inventory data such as pavement information, traffic counts, street
level furniture, and roughness. A direct integration to GeoMedia allows roadway
inventory users to access GeoMedia directly using dynamic segmentation to
locate inventory in a GIS road network and then analyze the data with
GeoMedia's capabilities such as thematics, spatial analysis, map presentation,
and more.

-- PwC Consulting, a business of PricewaterhouseCoopers, is demonstrating a
prototype at the Intergraph booth. The product is the front-end of
TRANSIMS-DOT, PwC Consulting's commercial version of The Transportation
Analysis Simulation System (TRANSIMS) developed by the Los Alamos National
Laboratory and sponsored by the United States Department of Transportation.
TRANSIMS-DOT provides next-generation transportation simulation capability to
state and local transportation planners. PwC Consulting will demonstrate the
TRANSIMS Network Editor based on GeoMedia technology, which provides an
easy-to-use ability to display a region's transportation road network and enter
data needed by TRANSIMS-DOT.
