Syngas (from synthesis gas) is the name given to a gas mixture that contains varying amounts of carbon monoxide and hydrogen generated by the gasification of a carbon containing fuel to a gaseous product with column. The third place winner is Silvano Baron Espinosa, Lockwood Greene de Mexico S.A. de C.V., Mexico, for "Complex Arrangement," depicting an intricate arrangement of piping, equipment and stucture. Honorable Mention for "Wellhead Platform Under Moonlight" goes to Aditya Wardhana, PT Tripatra Engineering, Indonesia. The entry shows an offshore platform glowing under a full moon. Animation category first place winner is G. Rajendra Kumar, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., India. "Virtual Walk Around a Thermal Power Plant" is a 3D walk through of the left side view of a thermal power plant. Dave Hargy, Shaw Stone & Webster, USA, is the second place winner for "Power Turbine Building," an animation of a 2X 800MW coal-fired power plant proposal created in SmartPlant 3D. Third place is Mehul B. Dholakia, L&T Chiyoda Ltd., India, for "Reviewing the Plant," an animation reviewing a final design.
