Interchange Bank Opens New Office In Waldwick.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2000

Interchange Bank, Bergen County's largest independent community bank, has opened it's sixteenth office in the county at 71 Crescent Avenue at the intersection of Wyckoff Avenue (Route 502) in Waldwick. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was officiated by Mayor James J. Toolen, along with other borough dignitaries and Interchange Bank executives. The office features a full-service lobby, ATM machine and drive-in window. A Grand Opening celebration was held recently to mark the official opening of the office. Hundreds of area residents attended the one-day event and were invited to participate in special promotions being offered through July in conjunction with the opening.

Anthony S. Abbate, president and chief executive officer of Interchange Bank, commenting on the new branch, said, "We now cover Bergen County from east to west along Route 502. Our Washington Township office is located at the eastern end of Route 502, which traverses northern Bergen County. Heading west, you reach our new Waldwick Office, farther west along the same route is our Franklin Lakes Office, and at the western end of 502 in Bergen County is our Oakland Office. This is significant because of our commitment to our Bergen County customers. With the addition of Waldwick, customers can bank conveniently at several locations along a very heavily traveled cross-county thoroughfare."

As part of the opening festivities, a donation of $5.00 was made to the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department for each new account opened on the day of the Grand Opening. An additional donation of $250 was made to the Waldwick Wildcats, the Special Olympics Team of children age 8-15 representing Waldwick and surrounding communities.

Staff at the new office will include Stuart Pace, assistant vice president and manager, Patricia Regina, assistant manager, Michelle Cohen, customer service representative, and Susan O'Dowd, head teller.
