 titled "the ACTIVE Knee."

The CD-ROM, which will instruct sports trainers, massotherapists, physical therapists, team physicians and coaches on how to diagnose knee injuries, will be distributed through direct mail, computer and sporting goods retail chains and medical professional associations.

"The Knee" was originally developed in 1986 in a laser disc format. It has been internationally marketed to medical schools and libraries. "The Knee" won a number of accolades for its innovative approach to medical education and training. It was recognized by the prestigious John Muir Film Festival where it won a silver medal and is on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institute's Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.

The CD-ROM market is experiencing phenomenal growth. Sales exceeded $2 billion in 1995 and are expected to reach $35 billion in five years according to Advertising Age.

IMP will be converting "the Knee" to CD-ROM technology for introduction to the Internet. According to IMP President P. Joseph Vertucci, "The original market for the `Knee' was limited by the price of hardware and multimedia technology. The CD-ROM product has a very large sales potential both in the U.S. and international markets. We are projecting annual sales of 15,000 units at a retail price of $59.95."

IMP recently announced an agreement with the American Holistic Centers Inc. (AHC) of Chicago to develop a library of interactive CD-ROM titles on holistic medicine. The CD-ROMs will be marketed to medical professionals, medical institutions, managed care groups, libraries and the general public. David Edelberg, M.D., AHC founder and medical director, an internationally known expert on holistic medicine, will be the primary consultant on the project. The library will focus on subject areas including acupressure acupressure
