) announced today that it has completed installation of its multimedia kiosks in 30 Northern Ohio golf clubs.

The kiosks, which are now located in the clubs' pro shops, are being sponsored by the Northern Ohio Golf Association (NOGA NOGA Northern Ohio Golf Association

 regional organization. The USGA has 60 regional associations with 8,000 clubs in the U.S.

The WSM kiosks with AST (AST Computer, Irvine, CA) A PC manufacturer founded in 1980 by Albert Wong, Safi Quershey and Tom Yuen (A, S and T). It offered a complete line of PCs that sold through its dealer channel.  Pentium PCs feature the USGA's computerized golf handicap system, GHIN GHIN Golf Handicap and Information Network , and also will provide club news, golf tips, NOGA/USGA news and advertising. The program has been developed as a "proof-of-concept" for the 1996 season which runs from April through October.

"We view this project as a milestone in sports marketing and information services. It will provide the foundation for IMP's expansion into the national golf market for both private and public courses," stated IMP President P. Joseph Vertucci, Ph.D.

IMP estimates that the advertising revenue potential for the 1996 NOGA project is between $450,000 and $650,000. The national market potential for all USGA clubs is estimated to be between $75 million and $150 million.

The participating clubs include: Acacia C.C., Alliance C.C., Ashland C.C., Ashtabula C.C., Aurora C.C., Avon Oaks C.C., Canterbury C.C., Columbia Hills C.C., C.C. of Hudson, East Liverpool C.C., Elyria C.C., Fairlawn C.C., Firestone C.C., Hawthorne Valley C.C., Lake Forest C.C., Legend Lake C.C., Madison C.C., Mayfield C.C., Medina C.C., Oberlin C.C., Prestwick C.C., Sharon Golf Club, Shelby C.C., Spring Valley C.C., Tanglewood C.C., Walden Golf & Tennis Club, Westwood C.C., Weymouth Course of Fox Meadow, Wooster C.C., and Youngstown C.C.
