InterVideo teams with Texas instruments to enhance video solutions in digital cameras.

InterVideo MPEG-4 Codec Plus TI Digital Media Processors Bring High Quality, Full VGA (Video Graphics Array) The display standard for the PC. All PC display adapters support VGA, and Windows machines boot up in "VGA mode" before switching to higher resolutions.  Resolution Video at Up to 30fps to DigitalCameras

:IVII) has announced that its MPEG-4 codec technology has been integrated with Texas Instruments Inc.'s (TI) programmable DSP-based digital media processors. By incorporating InterVideo MPEG-4 codec technology on its digital media processors, TI provides digital camera OEMs and system integrators with a cost-effective solution that will meet customer expectations for high quality images and enable high quality video.

"We selected InterVideo's MPEG-4 codec technology because it provides 30 frames per second encoding and decoding at VGA resolution," said Dr. Raj Talluri, World Wide Image & Audio Group Business Manager at TI. "For our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers, that means they can deliver a smooth, crystal-clear image without any skipping or jerkiness."

Steve Ro, InterVideo CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , credited the engineers at both companies for their collaboration in making the product easy for OEMs to integrate. "Of course, none of this would have been possible if TI hadn't equipped its digital media processors with the increased performance required to run MPEG-4 video encoding and decoding at 30 frames per second to achieve full VGA resolution," he noted.

Offering compliance with the MPEG-4 Simple Profile, InterVideo's MPEG-4 technology provides high-quality video at low bit rates. Users can choose from three different video capture sizes to control the quality and recording time: QVGA (Quarter VGA) A screen resolution of 320x240 pixels, which is used on handheld devices. Although 320x240 seems half the 640x480 VGA resolution, the "quarter" comes from the total number of pixels, which is one fourth the number (320 times 240=76800; 640 times 480=307200).  (320x240), Half VGA (640x240) or VGA (640x480)--all with up to 30 frames per second.
