) (www.intelsystech.com) announced today that it has won two early stage e-learning contract awards from The Office of the Secretary of Defense The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) is part of the United States Department of Defense and includes the entire staff of the Secretary of Defense. It is the principal staff element of the Secretary of Defense in the exercise of policy development, planning, resource  and the U.S. Air Force. ) awards total $200K, with potential follow-on contracts of $1.5 million.

The first award is to develop an interactive process training tool for personnel within an Air Operations Center See: tactical air control center.  (AOC AOC,
n an acronym for the Aromatherapy Organizations Council.
). These individuals have to work as a team when planning, executing, and assessing aerospace operations. The training framework and tool developed on this effort will allow trainees to understand and learn both horizontal and vertical relationships, as well as information flows within the AOC, and between the AOC and other organizations.

The technology created on this project has high payoff in the commercial sector for team training. "Our goal is to transform a team of individuals into high performance teams," said Dr. Azad Madni, Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of ISTI. "It is team productivity that creates competitive advantage for organizations."

The second award is for creating a standards-compliant, Web-based training framework for accelerated e-learning and aptitude evaluation. This project is inspired by the fact that depots at Air Force bases need to be able to recruit and rapidly qualify potential workers so they quickly become "contributing members" of the depot workforce.

In response to this overarching need, ISTI is creating a conceptual prototype training framework capable of rapidly evaluating a candidate's training needs, and creating a candidate-specific training syllabus that gets the candidate qualified in the shortest amount of time at the lowest possible cost. "Rapid qualification of personnel is a key objective of commercial enterprises as well," said Dr. Madni.

Dr. Madni emphasized: "We intend to incorporate the core technologies created on these two projects into our forthcoming web-based performance support product suite."
