Intelligent California computer maker opens European office in United Kingdom; Amerigo Systems being sold through Best Buy UK.


FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 3, 1994--Intelligent Computers and Technologies, the California-based computer manufacturer, has expanded its operations in Europe and the United Kingdom, opening offices in London.

The countries of western Europe, especially those that are allied with the United States and Canada in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (established 1949 and usually known as NATO).
. The move is a logical consequence of Intelligent's expanded U.S. market share for its Amerigo and Intelesys lines. The company has also announced that its systems are available through the Wilding Co.'s Best Buy UK division, which is advertising Amerigo through its retail locations and mail order.

In establishing the new facility, Lee Khan, executive vice president of Intelligent, said: "To be a key player in this industry, Intelligent must have a global presence. The European market is the first of many strategic locations worldwide in which we intend to operate."

The Amerigo systems feature Blue Lightning A clock-tripled version of the 486 chip from IBM.
