Integrium, a clinical research organization (CRO) with expertise in developing, conducting, analyzing and reporting on all phases of clinical research, today announced the appointment of Scott Wieland, Ph.D., MBA, as Senior Director, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs.

Dr. Wieland is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations and regulatory activities, as well as directing all quality assurance activities. In this role, he will be responsible for Integrium's Project Management, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance service lines.

Wieland will report to David Smith, M.D., President & CEO of Integrium. "We are pleased to welcome Scott to the Integrium team," said Dr. Smith. Before joining Integrium, Wieland held senior positions in the biopharmaceutical industry managing drug development programs and overseeing clinical research, regulatory, and strategic activities. Wieland earned a doctorate degree in Biopsychology and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and he holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Webster University.
