Insignia expands into Southern Africa.


Insignia Financial Group, Inc. announced its expansion into Southern Africa

Southern Africa
, following an agreement with Broil Property Group. The agreement will enable Insignia to extend its representation throughout South and Sub-Saharan Africa, including the Indian Ocean Indian Ocean, third largest ocean, c.28,350,000 sq mi (73,427,000 sq km), extending from S Asia to Antarctica and from E Africa to SE Australia; it is c.4,000 mi (6,400 km) wide at the equator. It constitutes about 20% of the world's total ocean area.  Islands of Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius and Comores.

Established in Cape Town Cape Town or Capetown, city (1991 pop. 854,616), legislative capital of South Africa and capital of Western Cape, a port on the Atlantic Ocean. It was the capital of Cape Province before that province's subdivision in 1994.  in 1974, Broll is South Africa's largest and most profitable real estate services provider, with offices in Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth Port Elizabeth, city (1991 pop. 670,653), Eastern Cape, SE South Africa, on Algoa Bay, an arm of the Indian Ocean. It is a tourist center and a major seaport that ships diamonds, wool, fruit, and other items.  and Pretoria, ensuring full national coverage.

Broil is jointly-owned by Mvelaphanda Strategic Investments -- one of South Africa's foremost black empowerment companies, its employees and Nedcor, a leading South African bank.

It is a multi-disciplinary group with experience in property management, brokerage, property services and consulting to the retail, industrial and office markets.

Alan Froggatt, chief executive of Insignia in Europe, said: "This is an excellent opportunity to secure a relationship with the No. 1 property services firm in South Africa.

Not only will this increase our ability to service multi-national corporates, but in addition we anticipate significant flows of investment monies into international markets."
