Insignia Announces Datasync Technology for Mobile Platform Vendors and Handset Manufacturers; Insignia Unifies Mobile Phone Device and Data Management in a Single Solution.

FREMONT, Calif. -- Insignia Solutions(R) (Nasdaq:INSG), today announced that it has added OMA-DS data synchronization technology to its Open Management Client "OMC", a full featured device management solution for mobile phones. OMC now provides synchronization of personal information such as address book, contacts and emails using Over-The-Air (OTA) synchronization technologies. Key customers including Pantech and TTPCom have already adopted Insignia's OMC solution.

Insignia's Datasync technology is based on the OMA-DS standard, which uses SyncML, a platform-independent data synchronization standard, as a key enabling protocol. Insignia's OMC unifies both Datasync and device management functionality with a single SyncML protocol stack, which greatly improves the utilization of system resources and reduces the time and costs of porting and deployments.

Insignia licenses its OMC to handset vendors and mobile platform software vendors in SDK (Software Development Kit) form and provides optional porting and integration services upon request.
