Insignia/ESG announces promotions at awards dinner.


Seven of Insignia/ESG's Midtown-based senior managing directors were promoted to the rank of executive managing director at the company's annual Awards Dinner on Apr. 3rd. Joseph R. Harbert, chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Edward Goldman (53), a veteran with more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, who was nominated for REBNY's Most Ingenious Deal of Year Award three times and won REBNY's Robert T. Lawrence Memorial Award in 1992 for having negotiated the Internal Revenue Service lease at 1133 Ave. of the Americas. He has been involved in more than six million SF of agency assignments, including 350 Madison, where he leased a total of 160,000 SF for two clients, Concert USA and C.E. Unterberg Towbin; and 450 W. 33rd St., where he leased 170,000 SF for Lerners New York.

Robert Martin Robert J. Martin (born January 13, 1947) is an American Republican Party politician, who has served as a member of the New Jersey State Senate since 1993, where he represents the 26th Legislative District.  (39), who in addition to his promotion received Insignia/ESG's Midtown Broker of the Year Award for being the company's second biggest producer for 2000. He is also the number two broker in the company nationally. Last year, he completed transactions totaling 2.7 million SF, including several national ones for Metromedia Fiber Network and its subsidiary AboveNet.

Lewis Miller, (38), has arranged transactions totaling more than five million SF over the past three years. Part of Insignia's consulting group, he was a member of the team that completed one of the largest transactions in New Jersey in 2000 - a 1.2-million SF lease for Chase Manhattan Bank The Chase Manhattan Bank, now part of JPMorgan Chase, was formed by the merger of the Chase National Bank and the Bank of the Manhattan Company in 1955. The bank is headquartered in New York City. . In March of last year, the same team completed the 556,000 SF transaction at 1166 Ave. of the Americas for Chase Manhattan, clearly one of the largest transactions completed in New York in 2000. Gregory Tosko, (37), has helped arrange leasing and equity transactions totaling more than 20 million SF during his ten-year tenure with the firm. In 1996, he received the Real Estate Board of New York's Deal of the Year award for his role in Conde Nast Publication's anchor lease at Four Times Square, which helped launch the successful revitalization of that neighborhood.
