Inside knowledge.

WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY IT WAS TO READ YOUR COVER PIECE, "BOB Johnson's Second Act," in the June 2007 issue. It was an honor to learn the thoughts of a billionaire who is also a black man. I would like to commend Executive Editor Derek T. Dingle on a great interview with very provocative questions. I'm an entrepreneur, and the interview asked the kind of questions I would like to know. How often is it that we get to consider the insights of a billionaire?

I believe the key to improving your business (or any endeavor) is to find someone who is playing the game at a radically different level. Being a billionaire certainly qualifies. My mind was stretched when Mr. Johnson shared his insights on the difference between how a business is run for family versus one that is run for value. What a golden nugget! Thank you, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Dingle, and BLACK ENTERPRISE.
