The Real Estate Board's operations are divided up into six divisions: the Owners & Builders, Commercial Brokerage, Residential Brokerage, Management, Allied and Associates and Institutional Owners and Investors Divisions.

The Board of Governors is REBNY's central governing body Noun 1. governing body - the persons (or committees or departments etc.) who make up a body for the purpose of administering something; "he claims that the present administration is corrupt"; "the governance of an association is responsible to its members"; "he  comprised of representatives from each division and fed by an Executive Committee of elected members. Via its Executive Committee, the Board of Governors reviews recommendations regarding industry issues from REBNY's five divisions, Boards of Directors and standing committees and determines appropriate actions.

REBNY members benefit from participating in a range of professional and civic activities that offer countless networking opportunities as well as a number of Valuable educational resources. These networking events enable members to exchange information and encourage the free flow of ideas. Monthly membership breakfasts, luncheons and committee meetings often feature speakers, both senior public officials and industry leaders, which keep REBNY members current on issues that directly affect their businesses.

Educational opportunities abound for REBNY members through any of the organization's written publications or programs.
