Gold, Silver, and Bronze accolades to the best rum The line up of expert rum judges for the 2012 CAB Rum Tasting Competition has been announced. Ten international rum aficionados will be jetting into the OSpice IsleO of Grenada, to take part in the blind tasting contest as part of the 3rd Caribbean Rum & Beer Festival hosted in Grenada on November 2-3, 2012. The rum panel will consist of experienced rum professionals considered as key industry influencers. The judges are recognized within the rum industry and the rum blogosphere. The line up includes: - Bob Davies, The Rumelier - Carl Kanto, Rum professional - Dave Russell, RnD Rum Reviews - Lisette Davis, Rum Boat Retreat - Luis Ayala, OGot Rum?O Magazine editor - Margaret Ayala, OGot Rum?O Magazine editor - Mike Streeter, Rum Connection - Nicholas Feris, Rum Collective - Robert Burr, RobOs Rum Guide/Rum Examiner - Steve Bennett, Uncommon Caribbean Festival Manager, Ms. Cheryl Collymore, explained: OWhen we announced that Grenada was to be the host country for 2012, we were overwhelmed by the response from rum experts wanting to be included on the rum panel. We are exceptionally pleased with the final lineup of rum judges and believe that rum producers will have every confidence in the outcome of the contest.O Rum products entered into the blind tasting contest will be judged according to rum categories. The judges will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze accolades to the adjudicated top three rums in each category.
