Insect Identification, E. Coli Movies, and Oil Droplet Analysis Applications Win Media Cybernetics Image Contest.


SILVER SPRING, Md. -- Media Cybernetics cybernetics [Gr.,=steersman], term coined by American mathematician Norbert Wiener to refer to the general analysis of control systems and communication systems in living organisms and machines.  Inc., announces the winners of their 2004 "Image-Pro In Action" Contest. This contest recognizes the application of the available tools within Media Cybernetics' Image-Pro products. Unlike most image contests that judge only on appearance, the Image-Pro in Action contest also emphasizes the research behind the images and how the software was applied to accomplish the desired goal.

The winners were chosen from a variety of biological and industrial imaging entries.
