InoStor ships next-gen SATA-based network storage appliance with Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003.


InoStor Corp., a Tandberg Data Tandberg Data (OSE: TAD) is a company focused on data storage products, especially streamers, headquartered in Oslo, Norway. They are the only company still selling drives that use the QIC format (also known as SLR), but also produce VXA, LTO and DLT products, along with  Company, has announced general availability of its next-generation M Series InteliNAS network storage appliances based on Microsoft Windows See Windows.

The InteliNAS 1U is designed to meet entry-level storage requirements. Small and easy-to-deploy, it offers storage capacities of 480GB, 1.0TB and 1.6TB in a rackmount package. Additional features include dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, four hot-swappable frontloading SATA hard drives and a 350W power supply.

InteliNAS 2U high-capacity devices offer storage capacities of 1.44TB, 3.0TB and 4.8TB in a 2U rackmount system. A convenient Web interface allows administrators to easily manage the system. Features include 12 hot-swappable SATA hard drives, dual 400W power supplies and dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for rapid response to user requests.

Both the 1U and 2U appliances support RAID 0, 1 and 5, and both offer optional tape autoloader or library as well as disk-to-disk and disk-to-tape backup.
