CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2004

The 2004 version of Innovest, Ohio's premier statewide venture capital conference, will be held May 13 and 14 at the Westin Hotel in Cincinnati Cincinnati (sĭnsənăt`ē, –năt`ə), city (1990 pop. 364,040), seat of Hamilton co., extreme SW Ohio, on the Ohio River opposite Newport and Covington, Ky.; inc. as a city 1819. . The conference annually features presentations by 30 entrepreneurs to an audience of about 400 investors and others interested in businesses seeking investment capital.

The conference, now in its 20th year, rotates among host cities Cleveland Cleveland, former county, England
Cleveland, former county, NE England, created under the Local Government Act of 1972 (effective 1974). It was composed of the county boroughs of Hartlepool and Teeside and parts of the former counties of Durham and
, Columbus, and Cincinnati. Presenters at Innovest have raised more than $640 million in funding since 1996.

A special program limited to active angel investors An individual who invests his or her own money in a private company, which is typically a startup. An angel investor is not an employee or member of a bank, venture capital firm or other financial institution that normally makes such investments.  will be held prior to the conference on May 13, as will a working breakfast address on the technology investment tax credit by Will Indest of the Ohio Department of Development. Participants will take part in two sessions on angel investing in the Midwest.
