The technical managers of food manufacturing and processing businesses are set to benefit from a groundbreaking new service that will enable them to engage highly experienced and specialised food safety consultants at the click of a mouse.

As manufacturers procure ingredients from an ever-widening range of sources, an innovative online network of top independent and company consultants has been launched to meet their growing need to manage food safety, hygiene and quality risks throughout the food chain, worldwide.

Among other services, UK and overseas-based consultants, belonging to the new group, will offer cost-effective specialist auditing, consultancy, product innovation support, trouble-shooting and certified training globally.

The network, launched by the respected Food Safety Consortium (FSC) will provide instant access to consultants with a minimum of 10-15 years experience and particular expertise in one or more of 21 specialist areas, ranging from ambient to high care foods. Each will have been vetted for qualifications, experience and track record by the FSC, which is part of the National Britannia Group, the UK's largest independent safety, health and environmental risk management specialist.

The FSC will manage and administer each booking of a consultant, handling travel arrangements and appropriate insurances on their behalf.
