for business development. Innodata presently provides services to some of Europe's largest publishers and knowledge-driven corporations. In 2001, Innodata derived approximately 13% of its revenues from European clients.

Jack S. Abuhoff, Innodata's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are making this move in response to clear opportunities we see in the European market - with existing clients and prospects - for content manufacturing services and XML-based systems and training."

XML Europe, sponsored by IDEAlliance and OASIS, is widely considered to be the premier European forum for the XML community, spanning electronic business, publishing, and the Internet, software, and standards development. This year's conference theme, "Down to Business: Getting Serious About XML," reflects the growing interest among publishers and corporations to deploy XML-based solutions. The conference sponsors expect it to draw over 1,000 participants.

ISOGEN International, a longtime contributor to thought leadership within the XML community, will present three papers at the conference. The first, entitled "Enabling Low-Cost XML-Aware Searching Capable of Complex Querying," by Brandon Jockman and co-authored by Eliot Kimber and Joshua Reynolds Sir Joshua Reynolds RA FRS FRSA (16 July 1723 – 23 February 1792) was the most important and influential of 18th century English painters, specializing in portraits and promoting the "Grand Style" in painting which depended on idealization of the imperfect. , will describe the development of an XML-aware full-text search A search that compares every word in a document, as opposed to searching an abstract or a set of keywords associated with the document. The second, entitled "XML in a Distributed World: Exposing DOM (Document Object Model)/Groves through CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) A software-based interface from the Object Management Group (OMG) that allows software modules (objects) to communicate with each other no matter where they are located on a private network or the global  (Common Object Request Broker Architecture (standard, programming) Common Object Request Broker Architecture - (CORBA) An Object Management Group specification which provides a standard messaging interface between distributed objects.

will present "The XML Learning Framework," addressing the challenges of developing usable XML skills and leadership, which is appropriate at larger-enterprise-scales.

Abuhoff stated, "There's stiff competition getting a paper accepted by XML Europe. That we got three accepted testifies strongly to the thought leadership and skills we bring to bear."

Kimber is Senior Consulting Engineer within ISOGEN Professional Services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products. . He is a member of the SGML SGML
