George William “Bill” James (born October 5, 1949, in Holton, Kansas) is a baseball writer, historian, and statistician whose work has been widely influential. will step down from the chairmanship of Inmet Mining
Corp. on Feb. 5, his 76th birthday. He was appointed to the Inmet board
in 1996 after a career that included leading Falconbridge and Denison.
He was an inductee of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame aims to recognize the accomplishments of leaders in the mining industry. It was conceived by Maurice R.
