SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 1997--INTERSHOP Communications, a leading provider of electronic commerce software, has announced the signing of an agreement with Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest wholesale distributor of technology products and services.

Effective immediately, Ingram Micro will distribute INTERSHOP eCommerce software in North America.

The distribution agreement compliments INTERSHOP's efforts to sign up solution providers, while it further strengthens the company's North American VAR and dealer channels. The opportunity for resellers to buy software from Ingram Micro helps INTERSHOP meet the growing demand for its products.
