Ingersoll-Rand Security and Safety Solutions, a business unit of leading diversified-industrial firm Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE:IR), today announced that it has acquired the assets of privately held FX Technologies Inc., based approximately 25 miles northwest of Detroit in Plymouth, MI. FX Technologies provides one-source security-systems integration solutions, including consulting and database systems engineering, for global corporations and other organizations with critical security requirements. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

FX Technologies will be integrated with Ingersoll-Rand's Electronic Technologies Corporation (ETC) business unit, which operates in the U.S. as part of Ingersoll-Rand Security and Safety Solutions.
