Infrared Thermometers with Advanced Capabilities.

The DHS 250 Heat Spy[R] series, from Wahl Instruments, Inc., brings a new level of professional performance to handheld noncontact temperature measurement. These thermometers offer an expanded measurement range, including surface temperatures up to 900[degrees]C (1,652[degrees]F) while still maintaining reading accuracy within one percent over a spectral range of 8 to 14 micrometers ([micro]m). The design provides a rugged, ergonomically pleasing instrument that is easy and comfortable to use. Laser sighting is included on all series models to improve target location and overall accuracy.

This line of instruments consists of three models--DHS 250, DHS 250M, and DHS 250MS--all of which feature a dual back-lit LCD for current, hold, max, min, average, and differential temperature readings. All models also feature adjustable emissivity, settable audible high alarm, [degrees]F or [degrees]C scale selection, tripod mount and trigger lock for time-lapse readings, a 50:1 target-size-to-distance ratio (nominal), foam-lined molded case, and a one-year warranty. Each has a built-in RS232, 9,600-baud interface port for online data acquisition and is powered by one 9-volt battery. Windows-compatible Wahl software and a computer interface cable are available as an option for the DHS 250 and DHS 250M models.

Model DHS 250M has a clock function, settable audible low alarm, 1-millivolt [degrees]F or [degrees]C analog output (cable optional), and internal data storage of up to 250 values (with adjustable intervals). All DHS 250 and DHS 250M features are incorporated, as well as the Windows-compatible software and the cable required for computer interface.
