RAID controller A disk controller card that supports one or more RAID configurations. Originally only for SCSI drives, RAID controllers have become very popular for PATA and SATA drives. See RAID.  and subsystem manufacturer Infortrend Europe Ltd has announced the immediate availability of its EonStar product range.

The new products are aimed at companies in the finance, media, telecomms, security and defence markets that need to implement a RAID storage system. The EonStar range includes a Serial ATA line, a Fibre line and a SCSI SCSI

Once common standard for connecting peripheral devices (disks, modems, printers, etc.) to small and medium-sized computers. SCSI has given way to faster standards, such as Firewire and USB.
 line so that varying levels of capacity, technology and performance are provided.

A spokesperson for the company said that the EonStar product range is intended to meet the demands from customers that require a range of RAID subsystems.

No pricing information was disclosed.
