The division, established on July 15 and based at the BFS manufacturing plant here, will handle the development, manufacture, marketing and sales of Firestone brand agricultural and forestry tires. The following appointments were made: * Alfred C. Policy, formerly production manager of the Des Moines Des Moines, city, United StatesDes Moines (dĭ moin`), city (1990 pop. 193,187), state capital and seat of Polk co., S central Iowa, at the junction of the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers; inc. as Fort Des Moines in 1851, chartered as Des Moines in 1857., Iowa, plant, has been named director of manufacturing.* Michael K. Gorey, formerly controller at the Des Moines plant, has been appointed director of manufacturing. * Barry E. Pace, formerly director of commercial products marketing for BFS in Akron, Ohio, has been named director of marketing and sales for the agricultural and forestry tire unit. * Kenneth W. Baker, formerly human resources manager for the Des Moines plant, has been appointed manager of human resources for the new unit. |
