(News in Brief).The board of directors of Information Holdings (IHI IHI - I'd Hit It IHI - Index to Health Information IHI - Institute for Healthcare Improvement (Boston, MA, USA) IHI - Institute of History IHI - Integrated Hit Indicator IHI - Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (Japan, ship building, aerospace & others); Stamford, CT), parent of MicroPatent, Master Data Center, Liquent--IDRAC IDRAC - International Drug Regulatory Affairs Compendium and LPS Group, has approved a share buyback program, authorizing the company to purchase up to $30 million of common stock. IHI president/ceo Mason Slaine said that considering our strong financial position, with significant cash on hand and no debt, we believe a share buyback program will serve to increase shareholder value while still allowing the company to fund its growth initiatives." During 2002 the price of IHI common stock has ranged from a high of over $31 in March to a low of around $13 in October. The stock closed at $16.40 on Nov. 15. |
