Informa Economics is the new name of Sparks Companies, Inc. In December 2003, the British firm T&F Informa Group pie acquired Sparks. Bruce Scherr, President and CEO of Informa Economics, says the name change reflects the company's global focus and activities. Agra Agra (1991 pop. 948,063), Uttar Pradesh state, is on the Yamuna River. An important rail and air junction, commercial center, and a district administrative headquarters, it is noted for shoes, glass products, handicrafts, carpets, and historic architecture. The present city was established (1566) by Akbar and was long a Mughal capital. Under Shah Jahan (1628–58), the magnificent Taj Mahal was built. USA, publishers of Implement & Tractor, is a sister company of Informa Economics, within the AGRA Informa Division.
