), announced today it completed the delivery of a disaster management system for the City of Bogota, Colombia.

Under a revenue generating contract with the Emergency Planning and Prevention Department of Bogota, Mapas y Datos developed and installed the system, which provides Internet-based emergency preparedness services to seven million city residents.

Mapas y Datos President Mr. Gabriel Coch noted, "The on-time and on-budget completion of the project demonstrates our ability to develop and implement complex location technology within an Internet environment using Oracle's web database technology."

Under terms of the contract, Mapas y Datos retains ownership rights to the software and has begun marketing the package throughout Central and South America South America, fourth largest continent (1991 est. pop. 299,150,000), c.6,880,000 sq mi (17,819,000 sq km), the southern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  in partnership with Oracle's Services Industry group.
