Infomosaic Releases W3C Standard Compliant Digital Signature Java Applet for Mac OS X.


SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Infomosaic Corporation today announced the release of Mac OS X version of its flagship product SecureXML Digital Signature. SecureXML makes it extremely easy for software developers and system integrators to add industry standard digital signature to their web and standalone applications. SecureXML provides functionality to sign web pages, forms, XML XML
 in full Extensible Markup Language.

Markup language developed to be a simplified and more structural version of SGML. It incorporates features of HTML (e.g., hypertext linking), but is designed to overcome some of HTML's limitations.
 data and documents in Word, PDF and other formats.

The currently released version of the SecureXML Java Applet for Mac OS X supports both Firefox and Netscape browsers and provides access to the user certificates stored in the browser's certificate store. SecureXML Java Applet for Mac is currently supported on Mac OS X 10.3.9 Panther and Mac OS X 10.4.x Tiger operating systems on PowerPC based Macs. The applet requires zero client-side installation and setup, allowing customers to effortlessly deploy their web applications to a large number of users without any administrator intervention.

US Health of Human Services, a lead customer of Infomosaic SecureXML Digital Signature, has licensed the SecureXML Java Applet for Mac OS X for use on 17 different PKI enabled web applications which require digital signatures.

On Microsoft Windows platform, the SecureXML Java Applet seamlessly integrates with ActivCard Gold and Litronic NetSign CAC See Consumer Advisory Council.  middleware for CAC demographic data access. In addition, the applet allows private key access for signing with both Microsoft Internet Explorer See Internet Explorer.  and Mozilla Firefox browser, and works with both Sun and Microsoft Java Virtual Machines This article provides non-exhaustive lists of J2SE Java virtual machines (JVMs). It does not include a large number of Java Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) vendors. Note that J2EE runs on the standard J2SE JVM but that some vendors specialize in providing a modified JVM optimized  when using Internet Explorer for document signing.
