The Backyard Sports(TM) series has introduced a new player to its award-winning line-up - Backyard Soccer Backyard Soccer is a series in the Backyard Sports franchise, developed and published by Atari. The San Jose Earthquakes, a professional soccer team located in San Jose, California, participated in Major League Soccer (MLS) from 1995 to 2005 and will resume play in 2008.
(TM), Jay Heaps of the New England Revolution The New England Revolution, nicknamed the Revs, is a professional soccer club based in Foxborough, Massachusetts, that participates in Major League Soccer. Even though the club is based in Foxborough, the club represents all of New England. Players select to play as one of the 10 MLS teams or create their own team by choosing custom team names and uniforms. Then it's off to the field where kids can choose one of twenty four fields and whether they want to play a single game or a season's worth. Backyard Soccer 2004 also contains a practice area where players can play a friendly match or practice penalty kicks as a kicker or a goalie.

Developed by Humongous Entertainment, Backyard Soccer 2004 for PC/Mac is suited for ages 7 and up and is available at retail nationwide for an approximate retail price of $19.99.
