Sinkinson simultaneously announced that he has hired New Yorker Fay Shapiro as associate publisher. She will head the New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of office. Infocom produces newsletters, directories, in-person and audio conferences and an awards program for the public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most industry. Its flagship newsletter, Bulldog bulldog, breed of thick-set nonsporting dog developed in the British Isles many centuries ago. It stands from 13 to 15 in. (33–38.1 cm) high at the shoulder and weighs from 40 to 50 lb (18.1–22.7 kg). Reporter, founded in 1979, began an Eastern Edition in 1990. Shapiro only six months ago became publisher at Jack O'Dwyer's Newsletter, which also serves the public relations industry (see Publisher Profile, this issue). She has extensive contacts in the PR world, after working at MarketWire, Burrelle's/Luce, and Bacon's Information. "We've done business with Fay for more than 15 years--but we've really been knocked out by her achievements in the PR industry," Jim Sinkinson said. "We welcome the chance to have Fay represent Bulldog Reporter's special brand of excellence to the PR community." Specifically, Shapiro will handle sponsorships and exhibits for Bulldog Reporter's Media Relations Summit conferences, as well as special advertising and marketing opportunities associated with its Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media Relations & Publicity and the brand's PR University audio conferences and training programs. Jack O'Dwyer told NL/NL, "Fay did incredible work for us. She's a workaholic--12 hours a day. She staged two conferences for us and sold 160 pages of ads for our directories. But what I really need now is a circulation director."
