Info Plant Announces Survey Results on Supplement.


Tokyo, Japan, July 19, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - C-NEWS, a marketing data service provided by online market researcher Info Plant, conducted a survey of 1,000 Internet users Internet user ninternauta m/f

 aged 18 or older on supplements, on June 9 and 10. Of the respondents, 69.8% said that they have taken supplements before.

In terms of ingredients ever taken, 65.6% cited vitamin C vitamin C
 or ascorbic acid

Water-soluble organic compound important in animal metabolism. Most animals produce it in their bodies, but humans, other primates, and guinea pigs need it in the diet to prevent scurvy.
, followed by calcium (41.5%) and black vinegar (33.5%). Further, 56.6% answered that they are currently taking supplements, and 26.3% said that they are willing to continue taking supplements although 27.2% are not willing to do so.

When asked about the supplement they are most interested in, 45.2% named Coenzyme Q coenzyme Q
n.
Ubiquinone.
 10. As for the source of information on supplements, 40.1% mentioned TV programs on health, followed by family and friends (34.5%) and supplement manufacturers' official websites (27.9%).
