Infant homicide through contraception.

Bogomir M. Kuhar, Infant homicide through contraception, Bardstown, KY, Eternal Life Publications, PO Box 787, 40004, paperback, 30pp, $2.50 (1 copy), $8 (5 copies), $12 (10 copies), $25 (25 copies), $40 (50 copies), $60 (100 copies) (US)

Dr. Kuhar, president of Pharmacists for Life, outlines the effects of oral contraceptives Oral Contraceptives Definition

Oral contraceptives are medicines taken by mouth to help prevent pregnancy. They are also known as the Pill, OCs, or birth control pills.
and other abortifacients. First he describes the effects of oral contraceptives (the "Pill"), one effect of which is to render the lining of the womb inimical inimical,

A female hormone, like progesterone, that acts on the inner lining of the uterus.

Mentioned in: Anabolic Steroid Use, Endometrial Cancer
(such as Depo-Provera and Norplant), and vaccines; four prostaglandins; and four intrauterine devices (IUDS). Finally, using reliable data, he estimates the true annual number of abortions in the United Stated, and what produces them:

Surgical procedure (the only ones reported) 1,500,000

Oral contraceptives from 834,000 to 4,170,000

IUDs 3,825,000

Depo-Provera from 1,200,000 to 1,800,000

Norplant from 2,250,000 to 2,295,000

Prostaglandin & Saline from 50,000 to 100,000

TOTAL from 9,659,000 to 14,320,000

Using the lower estimates, we see that, in addition to the 1,500,000 abortions caused surgically, there are 8,159,000 other abortions in the United States annually, so that chemical abortions--that is, infant homicides caused by contraceptive pills and so-called contraceptives--outnumber surgical abortions 5.4 to 1. Using the higher estimates, this rises to 8.5 to 1.

Since everything but population is the same in Canada as in the United States, we can say that the true number of abortions in Canada, taking the number of surgical abortions as 100,000 is really between 640,000 and 950,000.
