Andrew Moger, principal of BCD, the assignment was a result of the relationship he's built up with Quiznos since taking on the company's design and construction development work two years ago.

"We are the exclusive developer for Quiznos and, since we handle brokerage as well, we were able to take on that business.

"Part of it, too, was having a seamless development team and having all of our services under one roof." BCD's Alexandra Turboff says the boom in Quiznos business can be attributed to the chain's healthy concept.

"The food is made fresh in the restaurants which are also aesthetically pleasing," she said.

"That, and there has been an awful lot of buzz from franchisees. People are seeing Quiznos Subs and they end up buying the rights. They want to cash in on a growing concept that's doing very well"

Since winning its initial Quiznos contract in 2001, BCD has landed two other national accounts which they're no doubt hoping will be just as successful as the sandwich chain.

They're looking primarily at 1,200 to 2,000 s/f spaces in suburban malls, large office complexes and busy New York street corners.
