Industry vet begins his newest Quest.

 Quest, Manhattan's fastest-growing residential real estate services firm, today announced that it has hired Steen Steen   , Jan 1626?-1679.

Rasmussen, 39, will be responsible for managing the company's 50 sales agents while helping to grow the company's exclusive listings. A He will also supervise Dwelling Quest's training program and the company's recruiting efforts.

"I wanted an executive who could, in a positive fashion, challenge and motivate our agents to achieve their very best and to strive for higher professional levels. I also wanted someone from whom the agents could learn. After interviewing over 40 top real estate professionals, I knew that Steen was the best person for the job."

The addition of Rasmussen to Dwelling Quest's staff capped an exceptional first full year for the firm under Hornig's leadership. Since purchasing Dwelling Quest in 2003, Hornig has overseen a 300 percent increase in sales; tripled the company's revenue; streamlined and improved the firm's I technology capabilities; and developed and filled several new positions, including a director of marketing, chief administrative officer A chief administrative officer (CAO) is responsible for administrative management of private, public or governmental corporations. The CAO is one of the highest ranking members of an organization, managing daily operations and usually reporting directly to the chief executive  and transaction manager.

"My primary goal with Dwelling Quest," Hornig says, "is to re-invent real estate by creating a progressive, marketing- and technology-driven company that stresses customer service. In order to accomplish this, I have to have managers who can successfully implement the concept and lead by example."

Dwelling Quest's approach to real estate appealed to Rasmussen. "I was attracted to the company's commitment to change the way real estate is traditionally practiced," he says. "I was also extremely impressed im·press 1

Rasmussen, a 15 year industry veteran, was previously a vice president at The Corcoran Background
Corcoran. Spelling variations include: MacCorcoran, O'Corcoran,Corcorran and others.

The Irish surname Corcoran is derived from the Gaelic word Corcair, now used to denote purple but formerly meaning ruddy, or 'of reddish complexion'.
