Industry to tackle e-waste in Canada. (Electronics Recycling).


Leaders in Canada's consumer electronics and information technology industries have created Electronics Product Stewardship Product stewardship is a concept whereby environmental protection centers around the product itself, and everyone involved in the lifespan of the product is called upon to take up responsibility to reduce its environmental impact.  Canada (EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. The organization says it is consulting with stakeholders to design "appropriate programs for the safe reuse and recycling of electronic equipment."

EPS Canada expects to launch its first end-of-life management program in 2004. Its key mandate will be educating the market on the benefits of a progressive electronics recycling program and its costs.
