Individual ships personal profiling software for its First! enterprise news services; New feature will put personal news profiling on every Lotus Notes and World Wide Web desktop.


BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1995 -- Individual, Inc. announced today shipment of a new release of its flagship full-text, customized news service First! The release combines the power of Individual's SMART filtering at the back-end server level with new software that enables users of Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390.  to create their own personal newspapers at the desktop. With this enhancement, Individual's corporate customers can now enjoy the benefit of highly relevant news from nearly 600 worldwide sources coupled with easy to install and use personal profiling software at the client level.
