Indian Americans are citizens of the United States who claim ancestry originating in India. The U.S. Security Leadership Council (IASLC IASLC International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer ), a bi-partisan organization created to encourage closer ties between America and India, commends Congress and President George Bush on today's signing of the U.S.- India Peaceful Atomic Energy Cooperation Act. As a democratic nation, India stands as a unique and powerful buffer between the United States and many radical nations.
